Having graduated in private law and criminal law from Aix-en-Provence University as well as in fundamental private law and criminal sciences from Nice University, Maître Bastien Favard also holds a Juris Doctor degree.

The cost of a lawyer’s services is often an apprehension for the litigant. Maître Bastien Favard practices a transparent fee policy, to allow his clients to know the real and detailed cost of the services to be performed in their case. Maître Bastien Favard informs his client, upon referral, of the procedures for determining fees and regularly informs them about the evolution of their balance. He also informs his client of all costs, disbursements and fees that they may incur.
Except for specific cases, Maître Bastien Favard drafts a fee agreement in writing with his client, which specifies the amount or the method for determining the fees covering foreseeable due diligence, as well as the various costs and disbursements envisaged. The different forms of fee calculation are as follows :
HOURLY RATE
The services to be performed by Maître Bastien FAVARD may be remunerated according to the time spent, and in application of a predefined hourly rate. Maître Bastien Favard will then invoice a deposit for fees intended to cover his initial services at the start of the procedure, and will subsequently regularly invoice additional fees corresponding to the services that have been carried out and which are covered by the deposit on the basis of the hourly rate stated above.
FLAT FEE
If the case is eligible for one, Maître Bastien Favard and his client may agree to a fixed and definitive fee, and the procedures covered by this fee will be clearly indicated in the fee agreement.
RESULT FEE
Finally, Maître Bastien Favard may agree with his client on the fixing of an additional result fee which will be expressly stipulated in a fee agreement signed at the start of the procedure, which must also include a main due diligence fee, namely a lump sum which will be due regardless of the outcome of the procedure.
Finally, it is recalled that the Code of Civil Procedure (Article 700) and the Code of Criminal Procedure (Article 475-1) provide the possibility for a court to order the opposing party to reimburse you partially or fully for the fees and expenses incurred during legal proceedings.
